The great escape
This type of broom (not sure if it’s Spanish broom or Scotch broom) is a very popular garden plant in Iceland, with its abundant early flowering yellow blooms and pungent scent. The blossoming time is beginning to end just about now and the laburnum is about to start blossoming instead. Between them they ensure a strong showing of golden yellow blooms throughout June and July.
