Symmetry in Death

I have no idea how this tern died. It was lying peacefully on the ground like this when I found it, and it can’t have been dead for very long because there were seagulls around and they hadn’t got to the body. There was no blood and no spilled feathers to suggest I had surprised a mink or a fox or a bird of prey. Just this dead tern. It was probably natural causes. I suppose even wild animals die of them sometimes.
