I noticed these mallards sneaking up on a nesting swan in a park. I don’t know if they were intent on stealing sticks for nest-making, or if they were looking for food. Lava rocks in various shades. The colours of the lava rocks you find on the sides of volcanoes can range from yellow/brown to red to grey/black.
One morning, as my parents and I were preparing breakfast inside their motor home, which was parked outside an old farm my family owns, we got these visitors. These are Instagram photos I posted during a serial hike along the coastline from Reykjavík to Hvalfjörður. I think these are from the second hike in the series.
