Hverfisgata: Colourful art

These wooden dividers are used to separate work areas from pedestrian areas. They generally quickly become covered in graffiti, tags and advertising posters, but a few years ago I started noticing a new trend. Instead of putting them up and waiting for the inevitable “decorations”, the building companies (or so I assume, although it could have been city officials) got artists to decorate them. These two are currently situated on Hverfisgata, the street that runs parallel to the north of Laugavegur, but I originally saw them somewhere else. The first three are all part of the same divider and the fourth is a separate one that was originally a continuation of the other:
