Wild bunny

I spotted this cute rabbit wandering around in a business park in Kópavogur. I tried to capture him, but he bounded off.

Feral rabbits can survive the winter in Iceland if they can find an area with enough food and shelter and access to a heat source for warmth (usuallygeothermal water pipes or warm lava). There are small breeding populations in Öskjuhlíð and Heiðmörk in Reykjavík, in the summer house park in Hveragerði and in the lava fields in Vestmannaeyjar.
