Sunrise glow

While dawn in Reykjavík happens around 7 a.m. around this time of year and it is pretty much light by 9 a.m., the actual sunrise doesn’t take place until after 10 a.m. Today it took place at 10:13, according to a chart I found on the Weather Bureau website. This is how I know the sun is rising, seen from my window:

  1. The sunrise this morning was fantastic! At about 9:30, I walked by Tjornnin, and the sky was pink and baby blue and reflecting on the frozen swirls in the pond. All the street lights etc were still on in the city, and it was quite a sight.
