Charming decay

Decrepit old farmhouses make charming subjects for photography, and all the different colour tones and variations in them make them perfect subjects for HDR experimentation. This one is located in the upper reaches of Borgarfjörður in west Iceland.

The first, second and third images are HDR and the fourth is faked HDR.

This skeleton of an easy chair is perfectly situated for sitting and watching the sun rise.

Trough for dipping sheep.

This HDR image was created from three images: over-, under- and correctly exposed. Then it was tonemapped and finally I played around with the curves in Photoshop. The dead grass is a bit too orange for my taste, but the house came out just right.
