I eat lunch in a cafeteria at work anything from zero to 5 days a week, depending on the menu. They do excellent fish dishes, good to excellent meat dishes (with the occasional miss), good soups, middling, sticky pasta and flavourless vegetarian food. Anything else can be hit or miss.
Below is one of the near misses – not bad, but one of those dishes that are “just food” and no more. Except for the dessert: skyr is always delicious.
Asia is a big place, but if I were to guess, I’d say the stew is supposed to be Indonesian, based on the bottle of ketjap manis on the table.
